Paralympic Fever Hits London!

We enjoyed the Olympics so much that we didn't want the whole of London 2012 to pass us by.  We quickly snapped up some cheap Paralympic tickets for a morning session in the Olympic Stadium.  The atmosphere was incredible as we watched blind long jump, wheelchair racing, dwarf javelin, and amputee sprinting; all while the Paralympic flame burnt brightly below us.

After the session we toured the Olympic Park, taking a look at the other venues, and pausing to soak up the sun while watching more events on the BA Park Live big screen.

What a fantastic summer!

Holiday in Sussex

We decided to take a 'home from home' holiday and make use of an empty family house in Sussex.  There was sun, sea and sa.....pebbles.
Chris was able to revisit many of his childhood haunts and share them with Thomas, not to mention a few new ones such as Peppa Pig World.
We visited Arundel Castle and were lucky to stumble upon the Arundel Festival; showcasing medieval living, a falconry display and a bathtub race along the River Arun.
We couldn't end our holiday without visiting Drusillas Park to see the monkeys and meerkats and catch a ride on Thomas the Tank Engine, which our Thomas thoroughly enjoyed.

Golf Frenzy

Don't say the "G" word!  For any other child it may be C-A-K-E, but G-O-L-F was the word we had to spell out whenever Thomas was around.  It may well be because he had a triple dose of golf in the space of about a week at The Hop Farm in Kent for his nursery outing, Arundel Pitch and Putt whilst away in Sussex and at Bompas & Parr's Rooftop Golf at Selfridges.

Have a look at how varied the courses were...
